Trending Now: Netherlands tops Chile at the World Cup

Updated: Carmelo Anthony is a free agent after opting out of his contract with the Knicks. Anthony’s agent says Carmelo wants to “explore his options.”


The Netherlands defeated Chile, 2-0, to claim the top spot in Group B at the World Cup. Chile will also advance, but will be the 2nd team out of the group. Spain blanked Australia, 3-0, in the final match for both countries.


Knicks PG Raymond Felton will plead guilty to a felony weapons charge, but through a plea agreement, won’t serve jail time. Felton will likely be fined $5,000 and have to serve 500 hours of community service.


Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry said today the team is looking for a player that will help them “right now,” likely ruling out the option of selecting Joel Embiid with the 2nd pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft.


Willie Desjardins has been hired as the new coach of the Vancouver Canucks.


Top seed Novak Djokovic and #3 seed Andy Murray were straight set winners in the 1st round of Wimbledon today.  Venus Williams advanced to the 2nd round in Ladies singles.
