RENTON - For the third time this season, the Seattle Seahawks will be without three starters along their offensive line.

C Max Unger and DE Red Bryant were ruled out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons due to concussions sustained last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"Those guys will not go," head coach Pete Carroll said. "They're not going to play. We're going to take care of them this week and have them ready for next week, hopefully."

Unger, T Russell Okung and T Breno Giacomini also collectively missed Seattle's games against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts earlier this season. Okung is still ineligible to play for one more week while on the short-term injured reserve list. Giacomini isn't expected to pay and is listed as doubtful on the injury report.

Okung and Giacomini practiced all week with the team and received a larger workload as the week progressed. Carroll said they're in good shape and have a chance to play next week against the Minnesota Vikings.

"We'll go into next week with them practicing on Wednesday and we'll expect to see, if they can handle it, that they would play," Carroll said.

C Lemuel Jeanpierre will start in place of Unger with DE Michael Bennett likely getting the call to replace Bryant on defense.

WR Percy Harvin did not practice with the team for a second straight week but is continuing to make progress from hip surgery in August. Carroll said Harvin is the best he's been so far and they hope he'll be able to return to practice next week.

"All of the signs are really encouraging," Carroll said. "He feels good. He's not having any issues after he works out the next day so I think we've built up enough days here to take a real good positive step. I don't know what that means in terms of playing next week but we're hoping he'll be able to get some extra work and really jump back into it."

DT Jordan Hill suffered a strained biceps last week and has also been ruled for the game against the Falcons. Carroll said the injury is to Hill's other arm and not the same biceps he strained in the preseason that forced Hill to miss the first four weeks of the season.

Carroll said the severity is not nearly as bad as his prior injury and they believe he'll return to practice next week.

FB Derrick Coleman also is out with a hamstring strain. S Jeron Johnson practice all week after missing the last few weeks with a hamstring strain and is listed as questionable.
